Hello, I'm Lizi
I am a Speech and Language Therapist based in Burghfield, Reading. I set up Speaking & Listening in 2014 in response to an increased need for speech and language therapy which current provision is not always able to meet.
I have over twenty years' experience as a Speech and Language Therapist, including more than ten years working for the NHS, across clinics, mainstream schools, nurseries and specialist settings. I am a member of the Royal College of Speech & Language Therapists and registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.

My approach
Therapy works best when it doesn't feel like therapy. All assessment and therapy is presented in a fun, non‑threatening way, in a place your child already knows well, usually your home, or their nursery or school.
- Play‑based, child‑led sessions that keep children motivated
- Clear, jargon‑free targets agreed with you from the outset
- Practical strategies you and school staff can use every day
- Close liaison with NHS therapists and other professionals involved
- Honest advice, including when therapy isn’t needed
